We are right in the thick of turkey season and we are busy fertilizing and seeding new plots, and cutting our existing already. We are getting around 65 hours a week in if there is no rain, it is full throttle from time we begin til shutting it down late in the afternoon.
Mineral sites are being demolished, the bucks and doe know what their body needs, and combine that with our many alfalfa and clover plots they are getting the high crude protein as browse is just now starting to bloom and green here in western Kentucky.
We will be deploying trail cameras in about 6 weeks, summer will be here and we will be hunting before you know it.
25' Deposits - I have always taken a laid back approach to collecting deposits, but we need you guys to get them to us in a timely fashion this year. We are adding another 800 +/- acres for 25', in addition to the 1100 +/- we added in 24'. We continue to try and grow our outfit, all while keeping our guests count at a number we feel applies the least amount of pressure possible. Our rates have increased for 25' across the board on every hunt in the amount of $250. We need this to cover the rising costs of gas, diesel, groceries, insurance and the new expenses associated with the new facility. I feel we are as generous as any outfitter in this business, but we simply can't maintain our budget without a rate increase, It will be our first rate increase in four years. We know the effort we give year round, we simply ask that you understand and acknowledge that by paying your deposit and balance on time.
